　　常州茶葉行業協會成立于1989年，第九屆會長擔任 人，常州市開古茶葉食品有限公司董事長：許榮，是由茶葉行業生產、加工、經營、管理、科研、教學等領域的企業、事業單位、社會團體及個人聯合組成的、接受中華全國供銷合作總社與民政部的業務指導和監督管理，

　　常州茶葉行業協會的宗旨是，按照社會主義市場經濟的要求，發揮行業中介職能，服務常州茶葉事業。

　　常州茶葉行業協會的主要職能是，組織收集、整理和傳遞國內外茶業經濟信息和科學技術信息，進行市場分析、預測，開展信息交流活動和咨詢服務，為企業的生產和經營提供決策依據；積極推進行業技術進步和產業化經營，組織技術交流、產品質量論證和科技項目論證，開展專業技術、技能培訓和企業管理人員培訓，組織技術技能競賽和產品推薦，提高行業技術水平和企業管理水平；通過展覽展示、專題講座、茶道茶藝表演、印發宣傳資料；普及茶葉商品知識、宣傳茶葉飲用價值，弘揚中國茶文化；協調會員之間以及行業內各環節利益主體之間的關系，增進會員之間的橫向聯系，組織商品交流，拓寬茶產品市場，促進行業內部各種形式的合作和橫向經濟聯合，發揮行業的群體優勢。

　　常州茶葉行業協會的最大權力機構為會長，依次是秘書長，副會長，監事。
